Frequently Asked Questions

Click the questions below for more information about your event at Silver City Farm.
How long will I have the venue on my event day?

Your event will be 4.5 hours long, with access to the venue for setup beginning 4 hours immediately prior. Both the event time and the setup time can be extended upon request.

How late can my event last in the evening?

Our local noise ordinance requires we have music no later than 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9:00 pm Sunday through Thursday.

Can we bring in our own caterer?

Talk of the Town Catering & Special Events is the exclusive caterer for Silver City Farm.

Do you offer tastings?

We offer one complimentary tasting for up to four guests. Tastings take place at the Talk of the Town Catering & Special Events office located in Roswell, Georgia.

What is the deposit, and when is it due?

The non-refundable deposit is 50% of the Venue Rental Fee. Your balance is due 14 days prior to your event date, but can be paid in increments via our online payment portal, along with your catering balance.

Can we bring in our vendors?

We do have a list of preferred vendors who partner with our brides. However, with the exception of catering services, you may bring in your own vendors. Your DJ/band, photographer, videographer, and cake vendors must be licensed and insured in their field of business.

Are real candles allowed?

We allow “tea light” style candles in glass votive holders. We also allow pillar-style candles which are three inches or shorter and are in a container that is taller than the candle to cover the flame.  No tapered candles in candle stands, (lit or unlit) are permitted.  If any wax drips out of a container, renter will be responsible for the replacement cost of the linens or furniture/fixture.

Do we have to purchase an alcohol package?

Due to our liquor license, all alcohol is supplied by the client. Talk of the Town Catering & Special Events will supply mixers, ice, coolers, and bartenders as specified in your agreement.

Do we need to purchase wedding/event insurance?

While this is not required, we do encourage our clients to find an insurance plan that fits their event. This can provide you with peace of mind and a backup plan, in case of a catastrophic event with any of your vendors.
